Wow, wow what an great weekend!
Saturday, 9/25/2010 started out cool but quickly heated up temperature wise and in the ring. Both Nikon and Snapshot started the day needing just one double Q each to finish their MACH titles they were working towards. They did not disappoint in the morning with both earning a Q in 24″ Ex B Jumpers, with Nikon earning a first place and Snapshot taking fourth.
The afternoon heated up with a Excellent standard that proved more challenging than it look at first glance, yet it ate up the teams quickly. Snapshot ran first, although slow to start she quickly picked up speed, then as she took “Flyte” (pun intended) over the top of her Aframe with a perfect one hit wonder landing solidly in the yellow of the contact zone. Phew! The rest of the course was fast and smooth as she sailed through the tire and leaping up in to my arms. Snapshot certainly seemed to enjoy her victory lap as she ran around with a very please smile on her face. Not only did she finish her first MACH but also earned a third place!
Nikon as usual sailed through the course with ease. He did give me pause as he paused just above the contact on his dogwalk and had to be told to touch the yellow, the little bugger thought he was funny. Silly boy! The rest of the run was uneventful, thus Nikon earned his MACH4 and he did it with yet another first place.
So Nikon is now MACH4 ADCH Pine Run’s Photo Finish CD RN JH XF WCX ADHF CGC. And Snapshot is MACH Pine Run’s Capture the Moment CD RN XF MAD WC ADHF.
Not to be out done Trey also added another double Q to his quickly growing tally of accomplishments. This was his fourth double Q, and his fourth double placement – a first place and a second place.
Then on Sunday, Nikon and Snapshot were affected by PMS — Post MACH Syndrome — each with a missed contact in standard, UGH! Both redeemed themselves in Jumpers by qualifying. Nikon even earned a third place in his jumpers class. Not sure what was Trey’s problem was today but we had a wrong course in standard and then a dropped bar. Will say he was moving in his jumpers run and had a very nice run other than the bar.
On the other had it was an awesome day (Sunday) for Zer who earned his tenth QQ, thus finishing the last requirement he needed for his Golden Retriever Club of America’s Agility Dog Hall of Fame(ADHF) title. Zer is now ADCH Pine Run’s Mountain Escape RA MX MXJ OF ADHF. Nice job Zer and Grace.
Cash and Lora also continued their winning ways this weekend earning another MXJ with a fourth place at a trial down south.
