This year the Northeast Regional was held at Dreampark, in Logan Township in NJ. We organized three Championship teams and one performance team of all related Goldens. It was fun running so many Goldens in amongst all the black/white BCs.
Team results:
Dixie, Nikon and Cashman had the best final finish in the team event placing 12th out of the large field of seventy plus teams. This team Q was the last one Nikon need to complete the requirements for his Tournament Master Silver!!
“The Flyte Line” team — Hattie, Zer and Snapshot finished in 27th place out of seventy plus teams. Not bad for baby dogs.
“Gabe and the Babes” — the cousin team from Fast-Trak with Gabe, Sassy and Lindy had a good run but with a couple bobbles they unfortunately did not make the cut off for qualifiers.
Although not on a Team Trey did earns a few legs in his advanced classes – two Standard Qs with placements, one Q in jumpers, one Q in Gamblers and a Q in Snooker.
Snapshot earned a Q in Master Gamblers and her third Super Q which finished her Snooker Master title.
Nikon had a good weekend earning a Q in Master Pairs with his “big” half sister Dixie, then he qualified in the first round of Steeplechase and Grand Prix with clean runs! He then went on to run clean in the finals of Steeplechase and GP, although we were just not fast enough to earn semifinalist Qs.
It was a long hot weekend but it fun spending time with the “family.” Maybe we’l do it all again next year.
