On Saturday at the Scottish Terrier Club of New England’s trial Snapshot earned her 9th QQ with first placements in both classes. Nikon and I had great runs but a mis-handled chute to weave pole sequence in standard and he could not get the entry to the poles, so no Q. But he did Q in jumpers with a first place. Kris ran Trey in Open Jumpers but was not ready for the speed he turned on so they had a missed jump and a dropped bar. I then ran him in Open Standard but he did a one hit wonder on the aframe and then knocked two bars. He also did not stop on his dogwalk contact, he got it, just did not stop. Still more work on those contacts to do.
Today, I ran Trey in Open Standard and we had a very good run earning our second OA leg with a first place. He stopped on his dog walk contact today and did a much better aframe. Nikon then Q’d in standard with a second place and Snapshot had a really nice run but a small handling error caused a refusal so no standard Q. Then in Jumpers Kris decided to let me run Trey hoping that I’d Q on him and she wanted the Q. Well, we did our best earning his second OAJ leg and a first place. It was bit crazy between running Trey in Open Jumpers handing him off to Kris to hold while I took Nikon from her to go run his excellent Jumpers class. Nikon Q’d in 24″ jumpers with another first place completing his 12th QQ for MACH 4. Snapshot also Q’d in her 26″ excellent jumpers class with a first place as well.
Grace and Zer earned two QQ’s this weekend with placements in one class each day. They are really developing into a nice consistent and speedy team.
