Trooper wins Qual and earns 4th MH leg.
April 25th, 2010

Neversink’s Road To Belvedere **, Trooper (Pine Run’s Top Gun CD MH WCX*** OS x Amber’s Gemstone of Belvedere JH) won the Qual All age stakes at the Tidewater Retriver Club Qualifying field trial and also got his fourth MH leg today. Jim says that “Troopers work ranged from solid to amazing. He is a blast to run. For now, he is “Neversinks Road To Belvedere***”

This amazing you dog is the sire of Beach’s puppies. Beach is a full litter sister to our Snapshot, Zer and Hattie. We look forward to seeing how the Trooper x Beach puppies grow up. The talent behind both Trooper and Beach certainly give these pups a great foundation for their future careers in performance or just as champion’s of the couch.

Congrats to Trooper and Jim on a well deserved weekend.

AKC agility results
April 25th, 2010

On Saturday at the Scottish Terrier Club of New England’s trial Snapshot earned her 9th QQ with first placements in both classes. Nikon and I had great runs but a mis-handled chute to weave pole sequence in standard and he could not get the entry to the poles, so no Q. But he did Q in jumpers with a first place. Kris ran Trey in Open Jumpers but was not ready for the speed he turned on so they had a missed jump and a dropped bar. I then ran him in Open Standard but he did a one hit wonder on the aframe and then knocked two bars. He also did not stop on his dogwalk contact, he got it, just did not stop. Still more work on those contacts to do.

Today, I ran Trey in Open Standard and we had a very good run earning our second OA leg with a first place. He stopped on his dog walk contact today and did a much better aframe. Nikon then Q’d in standard with a second place and Snapshot had a really nice run but a small handling error caused a refusal so no standard Q. Then in Jumpers Kris decided to let me run Trey hoping that I’d Q on him and she wanted the Q. Well, we did our best earning his second OAJ leg and a first place. It was bit crazy between running Trey in Open Jumpers handing him off to Kris to hold while I took Nikon from her to go run his excellent Jumpers class. Nikon Q’d in 24″ jumpers with another first place completing his 12th QQ for MACH 4. Snapshot also Q’d in her 26″ excellent jumpers class with a first place as well.

Grace and Zer earned two QQ’s this weekend with placements in one class each day. They are really developing into a nice consistent and speedy team.

Down south in NJ, Cash and Lora continued their winning ways on Saturday by earning their second Open Jumpers leg with a first place. Then on Sunday they earned their second Open Standard leg. This young team is just cruising along. They’ll be in excellent before they know it.

These Flyte kids are just racking up the titles, but most importantly their owners are enjoying the ride to the fullest.

What a good weekend for all those competing.

First, Trey (Bear xFlyte) started the weekend off by earning his second CD leg on Friday, but had a problem staying during the down stay on Saturday so no title. Next time hopefully.

Then down south in NJ, Lora Durr and Cash (Bear x Flyte) had a great day earning their second Open FAST leg, and then fininshed both their Novice Agility and Novice Agility Jumpers titles by earning the last legs he needed. He also earned placements too, a first and second place.

Good day for the youngsters in agility here in NH.

Trey (Bear xFlyte) double Q’d in Open Standard and JWW class with two first places. Snapshot (Echo x Flyte) earned QQ number 8 with two second placements! Just 2 more QQs for her ADHF (Agility Dog Hall of Fame) title. Hattie, (Echo x Flyte) also did great Q’ing in both Nov Stand and Nov JWW with a second and first place. Go Baby dogs.

Pine Run Dog’s swept all levels taking Qs and placements in all classes today, pretty cool! The Flyte puppies continue to do well.

New title and Double Qs all around
March 28th, 2010

Great weekend with friends and agility at the LEAP agility trial how can you beat that.

Nikon and a great weekend double Q’ing both days including taking 3 first placements and a fourth place. These QQs are this tenth and eleventh for his MACH 4, plus adding another 111 points to already impressive lifetime point total of 4805 (as of 3/28/2010).

Not to be out done Snapshot Q’d in jumpers with a first place on Saturday but had one bobble in standard so no Q. Then on Sunday she earned her 7th double Q with two first places.

Trey, Pine Run’s Kiowa Picture This NA NAJ WC, earned his Novice Agility (NA) today with a fast time of 37 seconds!! With that time he earned first place as well. Go baby dog. Then in Open jumpers he had a blistering run but his speed caused us as few issues at the weave poles, so we still have a few things to work on.

Zer wins Steeplechase at All Dogs Gym tournament event

This is the second DAM team Q for both Zer and Hattie this year. They earned their first DAM Q with Trey at the BARK agility trial in January. These wonderful young dogs have a great future a head of them.

USDAA Weekend
March 27th, 2010

March 20 – 21, 2010

Nikon had a great weekend at the USDAA trial this weekend in NJ at Dreampark. On Saturday he Q’d in all five of his regular master classes and Q’d in Steeplechase in the first round taking 9th place out of 40 competitors in the 26″ class. I will say he has a great attitude all day, he was barking again at me on the start line and out side the ring. Sunday brought us another great day with 4 out of 5 Q’s in his regular master classes (popped his weave poles in Standard), a Q in Grand Prix and he went on to place 5th in the second round of Steeplechase. He was the only non BC in the Steeplechase finals!

Snapshot did not have the weekend I was hoping for. On Saturday she did Q in 3 out of the 4 classes I ran her in just missing the gamble because she was over time.

Trey was a star too. He Q’d in 7 out of his 8 runs this weekend — he earned his first two Novice/starters Qs, this last 2 Novice/starter Jumpers Q, his second Novice/starters Snooker Q and his first two Novice/starters Qs (one with his litter brother Cash!). On Sunday he ran a 19 second jumpers course. In his snooker run he was blistering the course I set for him but at one point he just did not send ahead to the red and I nearly tripped over him. Then he barked at me on course. I need to work on his DW though he’s running the contact nicely but that’s not what I have trained the little bugger.

A weekend of Obedience and Rally
March 14th, 2010

It was a weekend of obedience and Rally. Trey started the weekend off with his very first Nov B class on Friday at the American Bullmastiff Association’s obedience trial. He did a good job for his first time in the obedience ring earning his first Q and a third place!

Not to be out done by Trey, Snapshot earned her last leg needed for her CD title on Saturday at the Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Boston’s trial! She is now Pine Run’s Capture the Moment CD MX MXJ XF WC.

Nikon and I entered our very first Open A class on Saturday. This was my first time in Open and I am very pleased with how we both did, although we did not Q when Nikon did not come back over the jump with his dumb bell, I am still very pleased with his effort. Next time!

Sunday brought Rally novice Q’s for Nikon, Snapshot and Trey. For each this is their second Q.

We have a couple more obedience and Rally trials this spring and we’re looking forward to starting Agility soon.
